Helen F. Burke, 65, 1619 Pawnee, died Thursday afternoon in the Shawnee Mission Hospital where she had been a patient for the past week. Previously she was admitted to Cushing Memorial Hospital Feb. 20, 1982.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday in St Casimir Church with the Rev. Gerald Sheeds, pastor officiating. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery.

Mrs. Burke was born Jan. 2, 1917, at Lincoln, Neb., the daughter of Scott W. and Florence Hill Overfield. She was a 1934 graduate of Leavenworth High School and a member of St. Casimir.

She was married to John Burke Oct. 10, 10934, at Platte City. Mo. He survives at the home.

Other survivors are a son, Manford Burke of the home; three daughters, Mrs. Patricia Harvey and Mrs. Barbara Hupp, both of Leavenworth and Mrs. Sharon Lusebrink, Overland Park; six brothers, Loyd J. Overfield, Charles Eugene Overfield and Albert Overfield, all of Leavenworth, Warren S. Overfield, Lansing, Max I. Overfield, Dallas, Texas, and Theodore J. Overfield, San Diego, Calif.; sis sisters, Hilma Kagan, Edith Schmitz, Laura Magnussen, Rose Stewart and Maxine Martin, all of Leavenworth and Ann Canady, Atlanta, Ga.; eight grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

A parish wake service will be at 7 p.m. Sunday in the Larkin-Brown Funeral Home where friends may call after 3 p.m. Saturday. The family suggests memorials to the church.
