Margaret Leona Etherton Resident of Concord Margaret passed away peacefully on March 28, 2008 in her home, with family by her side. Margaret was born on February 6, 1913 in Leavenworth, Kansas. She came to California in 1946 and from 1955 resided in Concord. Margaret was a homemaker, loved to cook for everyone and had a real talent for making beautiful cakes. She was a kind and generous person with lots of friends and will be missed by many, including her dogs, Missy and Blazer. Survived by her husband of 33 years, Vernon Etherton. The two traveled all over the U.S. and at the age of 84 went to 5 countries in Europe. Margaret loved her family greatly and is survived by her son, Phillip O'Shea, granddaughter, Cindy Linaweaver, stepchildren, Gary Etherton, Larry Etherton, Carolyn Cavalli, 7 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren. Margaret was predeceased by her daughter Jean Ecker and son David Reed. Memorial graveside service to be held Thursday, April 3, 2008 at 1pm at Oakmont Memorial Park, 2099 Reliez Valley Rd.
