Mary Isham was the second of five children. She married James Nevin Allen at the age of 21 and had one daughter, Ruth Allen, and one known grandchild, Michael. I met her the summer of 1962 when she brought her grandson to California to visit my grandmother, Helen Isham Thorne, her sister. She died in 1966 and is buried in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Kansas City, Wyandotte, Kansas. Her daughter, Ruth Allen Morris, is buried next to her.
