Adalaide was the fifth of seven children. She married Manuel Ambrose De Silva on July 19, 1919 on her 19th birthday in San Luis Obispo, CA. Ada and Manuel had three children; Geraldine, Gwendolyn, and Norman. Their one known grandchild, Mickey Boughton, died at age 20 of cancer.
