Alicemarie Erwin was the daughter of John Dill Erwin and Marie Edna Rodier. John Erwin was an Army Paymaster and they traveled extensively while Alicemarie was growing up. She married first John Kuel in 1942. He was a Navy pilot, a trainer, who was missing in action during a training flight from North Island, Coronado. Neither he or his plane were ever found. Second she married Albert Routson Dean, born 1910 in Maryland. They had three children: Hope Erwin Dean, born 1946 in San Diego; Mark Albright Dean, born 1948 in San Diego; and Albert Routson Dean Jr.; born 1950 in San Diego. Albert Dean Sr. died in Ventura in 1972. Alicemarie moved up to Sonoma County and attended Sonoma State University where she finished getting her degree in Political Science. She lived in Petaluma for a few years, then moved to Sonoma Valley where she lived until 1994. She moved first to Rancho Bernardo, CA and then to Carlsbad, where she lived until her death in 2001.
