My Dad loved to fish and he taught me how. One summer, probably in the mid seventies, we went fishing every weekend to the Arkansas river. We would go to the bait shop buy worms and crickets. I eventually learned how to put them on my hook. There is one fond memory of my dad, my cousin and myself fishing and my dad caught something big. It seemed like hours before he landed a hugh Bass. I remember that we took it and showed it to the bait shop owner and he thought it could have been one of the biggest caught that year. I don't remember how much the Bass weighed but I do remember a picture the bait shop owner took. My dad didn't want to be in the picture so my cousin and I was. The bait shop owner said he was going to send it into a fishing magazine, if it was I don't know. I would love to have that picture. I have since then passed my little knowledge of fishing to my own son.
Dad was the brother of: Doyle and Peggy
