About November 1, 1930, it was announced in several newspapers in the Associated Press network that, "Clevelander Regina Croak won a Fortune in the Cambridgeshire Sweepstakes at Newmarket, England. Miss Croak's ticket on Racedale will collect $22,609. Miss Croak is forewoman in a book bindery. As soon as Miss Croak learned of her good fortune, she announced she would give $250 apiece to each of the four girls who work for her."

Sometime after 1935, she married Frank J Conat, owner of Ideal Bookbinding in Cleveland, OH, where she had worked.
