BAKER, Judson Benton Sr 89, died Sept. 25, 2012, with his wife and family by his side. Born Dec. 17, 1922 in Cable, OH, Judd's love of sports were highlighted with try-outs with the St. Louis Cardinals, professional bowling and an avid card player. A Veteran, Judd served his country in the U.S. Army's 10th Mountain Division during World War II as a Mule Skinner. Judd retired from McCall's (30 years) and Meijer to pursue his woodworking hobbies. He is survived by J. Elaine Baker, wife of 65 years. Sister: Wanda Chamberlain. Children: Sandy Todd, Pam (Doug) Davis, Judy Baker, Bennie (Rita) Baker, Marty (Carol) Baker, Betty Baker, 10 Grandchildren, 14 Great - Grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and a special friend Patty Hodapp. Life Time Member of the VFW, American Legion, attended North Riverdale Lutheran Church. Judd's last gift was to donate his body to Wright State University. A special thanks to the Dayton VA for the special care he received. Memorial service scheduled Saturday, October 13 at 3:00 pm at North Riverdale Lutheran Church, 45 Kurtz Ave. Dayton, Ohio 45405. In lieu of flowers gift donations in his memory may be sent to North Riverdale Lutheran Church.
