Born in KS to Dr Harvey Casebeer Sr and Marietta, moving to MT shortly thereafter, where his father was employed by Dr Peter Potter, a local eye doctor.
He attended Emerson Grade School and Butte High and then on to Stanford Univ with an MD from the Univ of NE College of Medicine.
After Stanford Med CTR he moved to Butte in 1964 and established his Ophthalmology Practice. He was also President of the Silver Bow County Medical Assn and was still practicing after 50 years at the time of his death.
After college he married Patricia A Bender and had four children who survive. After Patricia's death he re-married Nancy Kay Ness and was to celebrate their 30th anniversay in 2015.
