Shirley Ann (Gilbert) Smathers, daughter of Guy and Francis (Feek) Gilbert, passed away at her home near Mtn. Grove, MO. Shirley grew up in the Leavenworth, KS area and was married to Oliver Lee Smathers on Sept. 8, 1967. They moved to Missouri in 1988, where they resided on a farm northwest of Mtn. Grove at the time of her passing. Shirley enjoyed being a homemaker, and tending to and feeding her small farm animals. Two of her favorite past-times were needle point and word puzzles. She was preceded in death by her father, Guy Gilbert; a daughter Martha Ann Gilbert; brother, Larry G. Gilbert. Shirley will always be in our Hearts and will be missed very much.
