Thomas George Bannister was born about 1877. He was a hairdresser in Launceston for many years. On 9 Mar 1929 he married Joan (Jane) Margaret Bennett, a widow with three children, Vernon, Harold and Edna Bennett. Thomas died aged 67 on 4 Sep 1944 at Mowbray, probably at his residence at 23 Vermont Road, and is buried at Carr Villa in Section C8 No. 60.
