Mildred Deloris(McCoy) POWELL 1917-2001

John was a Woodsman of the World member, farmer, and general store owner.

John left his Real and Personal Property to wife, Sallie McCoy and her children equally. John also left in his inventory a cow, horse, telephone and xxx (could not read-will research).

Information in this bio is from the John Teague McCoy Sr. Family Bible, Last Will and Testament dated 31 AUG 1920, and family members.

There are variations of the Teague family name, depending on who was writing and who was spelling. I have also seen the name as "TIGUE" which is due to the old world, Scottish pronunciation of "TIG" like "FIG". Old World was the "I" as in "it". The current world, or American, pronunciation is long "E" as in "reed".

John Teague and Sallie are my great-grandparents.
