Gregory Steven Sutich, 35, of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho died September 28, 2013 at Kootenai Health Cancer Center. He was born April 19, 1978, in Virginia, Minnesota to Jill (Marshall) Monroe, Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, and Steve Sutich, Cotton, Minnesota. Greg lived in Mt. Iron, Minnesota from birth to 5th grade. He then moved with his family to Richland, Washington where he attended sixth grade. The family moved to Coeur d'Alene, Idaho in 1990 where Greg attended Canfield Middle School and graduated from Lake City High School in 1996. Greg attended college at North Idaho College, Mesabi College and St. Cloud State University in Minnesota. Greg lived in Gurnee, Illinois where he was the Youth Athletic Director. Then he and his family moved to Winona, Minnesota where he was employed by Excel Images until moving his family back home to Coeur d'Alene 3 years ago where he resided until his death. Greg married Stefany McCormick on June 10, 2006 in Lake County, Illinois. Greg served in the US Army in the 82nd Airborne and the Rangers. Greg loved God, loved his family, and was loved by everyone he met. He was fun and infectious with his love and humor. He coached his son Braylon and nephew Dylan's little league baseball teams in Hayden, Idaho along with his brother Geoff Sutich. He loved entertaining the kids at the park, beach, a picnic, and sleepovers at their house for his kids and their 4 cousins. Greg loved fishing and going to the cabin on Smith Lake. He also loved hunting, snowboarding, football, music, and the Michigan Wolverines. GO BLUE! Greg is survived by his wife Stefany, and his precious children: Braylon (7) Alleigh (5) and Brady (3) all of Coeur d'Alene and daughter Emily (Haugen) 15 of Eveleth, Minnesota; brother Geoff (Lauren) Sutich of Hayden, Idaho and nieces and nephews he held dear to his heart Josselyn (8), Dylan (6), Marly (3) and Cody (1); step brother Eric (Melissa) Dormanen of Eveleth, Minnesota; step sister Jennifer (Jason) Janisch of Hibbing, Minnesota; mother Jill (Rick) Monroe of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho; father Steve (Sue) Sutich of Cotton, Minnesota; grandparents Keith (Dolly) Marshall of Winona, Minnesota; aunts, uncles, cousins, and their families. Greg was preceded in death by his grandparents Nick and Marge Sutich of Mt. Iron, Minnesota. A visitation will be held Friday Night from 4-8 PM at Yates Funeral Home, Hayden Chapel in Hayden, Idaho. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday at 5:30 PM in the Lake City High School Auditorium with reception following in the commons area of the school. Burial will be at the Coeur d'Alene Memorial Cemetery, 7315 N. Government Way, Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, where a private ceremony will be held for the family at a later date.
