Wiley 'Coyote' Lester Richards, 58
Aug. 10, 1956 - April 13, 2015
Wiley was born and raised in Palmdale, Calif. He resided in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, at the time of his death. He graduated from Palmdale High School in Palmdale, and attended Point Loma Nazarene College in San Diego, Calif.
Wiley was the son of Lewie and Jimmie Lou Richards. During his childhood, Wiley loved to do many activities including baseball, skateboarding, surfing and dirt bike racing. Once a year, Wiley would go on a minion run in Malibu, Calif. In later years he enjoyed bowling, shooting pool and throwing darts.
Wiley was a retired sheet metal worker who enjoyed playing golf, fast cars, motorcycles, boating, trap shooting and building bird houses with his wife. He was also a die-hard Raiders fan. He was always smiling, had a quick witted sense of humor, and could pick up a conversation with anyone he met. He loved food and enjoyed cooking. His favorite dishes to make were homemade chili and goulash. His favorite fast food restaurant was Taco Time. He also enjoyed a delicious Roger's hamburger and loved Double Stuf Oreos.
He will be missed by numerous friends and family.
Wiley was preceded in death by his step-grandchild, Conner Langford. He is survived by his wife, Wendy Fehlings-Richards; his two children, Chad and Shawna Richards; grandson James Aaron Spratley; sister Connie Richards-Stucke (Philip) and their children, Sarah and Elisa Stucke. He is also survived by his step-children Natalie Langford (Bryan) and their children Katie, Brooke and Brinley Langford; and Michael Fehlings (Erika) and their daughter Heather; and many other friends and family.
His funeral will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday, April 17, at the Coeur d'Alene Nazarene Church on Fourth and Kathleen in Coeur d'Alene. A reception will follow afterward in the foyer to tell stories and reminisce.
