Anthony "Tony" Christopher DelVecchio (DEVO), age 47, passed away March 28, 2014 of unknown causes at home with his wife. Anthony was born in Santa Clara, CA in 1966 and moved to Carson City, NV as a teenager. Anthony's life was dedicated to serving our country. He joined the US Navy at the age of 20 and in 1991, he began his career as a US Navy Seal. He was assigned to SEAL Team 5 until 1996. In 1996, he became a Naval Special Warfare instructor. In 1999 he was assigned to SEAL Team 4 where he served until 2001 when he started as a Basic Underwater Demolition SEAL Instructor (BUD/S) until 2003. In 2003, he joined the Navy Parachute Team "The Leap Frogs" until his retirement in 2006. Since 2006 he has served overseas as a mobile security officer with SOC, LLC. Tony was a wonderful husband, son, brother, uncle, father of two beautiful girls, and a great friend. Being a US Navy SEAL was his most proud accomplishment. He had an amazing sense of humor, loved to drive around the mountains and be in nature, loved his Harley Davidson, Arturo Fuente Cigars, and a good Scotch! He and his wife loved traveling together and doing just about anything together. He was the love of her life. As much difficulty as his life-long military service brought him relationally; it is what he was made to do. He would have laid down his life for his brothers without a second thought. He was a rare person; a real-life HERO.
