Pauline C. Harris CHESAPEAKE
Pauline Cuffee Harris, 75, of the 2200 block of Millville Road, went home to be with the Lord Nov. 8, 2005. A native of Norfolk County, now Chesapeake, she was the daughter of the late Charlie and Lizzie Cuffee. She was a faithful member of the Greater Bethel AME Church, the Senior Choir, Stewardess Board, Missionary Society and a past advisor of the church youth department. She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Joseph L.A. Harris Jr.; four daughters, Barbara J. Brown (Calvin), Jeraldine H. Chatman (William), Carole D. Harris (David) and Sharon L. Foreman (Anthony), all of Chesapeake; five sons, Joseph L. Harris III (Ada), Walter Ray Harris Sr. (Temple), Glenn L. Harris (Rosie), Kelvin A. Harris and James R. Harris Sr. (Lynda), all of Chesapeake; three sisters, Lucille Hailes, Mildred Holmes and Rosa Worlds, all of Chesapeake; two brothers, Dennis Cuffee and Charles Cuffee of Chesapeake; 23 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Greater Bethel AME Church, 2320 Cedar Road, Chesapeake, with Pastor William E. Scott Jr. officiating. The family will receive friends today from 6 to 8 p.m. at Kellum Funeral Home, 601 N. Witchduck Road, Virginia Beach. Interment will be at Roosevelt Memorial Gardens.
