I just lost my second cat in 2011. Unlike my Wizard's passing in March, Blue's leaving us wasn't completely unexpected.
Blue would have been 18 in April 2012. She'd been failing for the last month and this past week, she went downhill pretty fast. When I came home, I could see she was fading fast and she died in my arms.
She was a tiny little thing. I don't think she weighed more than 7 pounds in her entire life, but she was never sick a day in her entire life.
I laid her to rest in my back yard, right near her friend Wizard.
Blue came into our lives about a month after we lost our beloved 19 year old Siamese Piewacket.
When we moved to South Jersey in February 1997, it was Blue, Duffy, Bonzo and Peaches who came with us. Now, they're all gone. Bonzo, Duffy and Peaches have met Blue at the Rainbow Bridge and they are reunited at last.
Farewell, Blue Girl. Till we meet again, Little Cat.
