Larry "Dwayne" Carr age 65 of Garland, TX, passed away June 24, 2010. He was born December 16, 1944 in Mountain Home, AR, to James Wesley & Letha Fay (Gurley) Carr. Dwayne proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was a dealer in the wholesale auto industry.

Dwayne is survived by his wife: Julia "Julie" (Hansen) Carr of Garland, TX; daughters: Michelle Pittman & husband Brad of Melissa, TX, and Nicki Schmid & husband Chris of Frisco, TX; brothers: Wesley Carr & wife Judy of Rockwall, TX, Jerry Carr of Dallas, TX, and James "Butch" Carr & wife Karen of Kingston, OK; sisters: Joyce Martin & husband David of Mesquite, TX, and Katherine Kaye Mays of Rockwall, TX; grandchildren: Rebecca and Josh Pittman and Kyle and Adam Schmid; numerous nieces and nephews; and brother-in-law: Steven A. Hansen & wife Pam of Monroe, LA. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother: Roy Carr; and brother-in-law: Mark E. Hansen.

A memorial service will be held 4:00 pm, Saturday, June 26, 2010, at Rest Haven Funeral Home – Rockwall Chapel with Chaplain Paul Ramler officiating. Inurnment to follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, the National Kidney Foundation, or the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
