Ida was born in Virginia February 9, 1906 and worked for ten years as a bookkeeper for Beechers Milk Producers in Michigan.
She moved to Tuolumne County in 1947.
Ida was a member of the Rebekah lodge of Jamestown.
At the time of her death, Ida was survived by her husband, Robert V. Barnes. She was also survived by two sisters, one being Leatha Plunket of West Virginia, and two nieces, one being Martha LaRosa of San Jose. She was also survived by two nephews.
The rosary was recited at the Terzich-Wilson chapel, and she was interned in the Columbia city cemetery.
