Married to Dan Burnette from Black Mtn, N.C. Mother of four. Worked at Coats & Clark near Powder Springs, GA. Died of heart disease in 1989. Lived her adult life in the community of Bill Arp, Ga. near Douglasville. Her children (in age order): Maude, Ruth, Janette, & Daniel.

She was/is a powerful influence on my life. She had many wonderful phrases that one does not hear now:

- The wind was blowing 90 to nothin'
- Well, Bless Pat.
- For the Lord's sake!
- Sit up and act like somebody.
- Quit slumping, stand up straight!
- Get from here, sir! (when yelling at stray cats).

Grandson: Brad Moore

Daughter: Mary Ruth Burnette Thayer
(Jul 27 1927 - Jun 26 2007)
