George W. Bright was the son of Rev. John C. & Sophia A. Stoner Bright. Born in Tiffin, Ohio. George was a prominent Ohio banker and business man, was chairman of the board of directors of the Citizens Trust & Savings bank since its organization in 1900. He service in the Civil War at the age of 18, with Co. H. 133rd, O.V.I. He was president and treasurer of the Columbus Transfer Co. President of the board of trade. He married Martha Worrell Bright daughter of Samuel Worrell Bright of Pickerington, Ohio (1844-1920). His only child was daughter Mary Louise Bright who became the wife of Sinclair B. Nace, who died September 27, 1926.
