Junior Cordle, 76, of West Jefferson, passed away suddenly Tuesday, March 25, 2003 in the Emergency Room at Doctors Hospital West, Columbus.
Junior was born March 2, 1927 in Lawrence County, Ky., the son of the late Miniard and Molly Ross Cordle.
He was a lumberman, had worked for Buckeye Steel Corporation of Columbus, Fisher Cast Steel of West Jefferson, was an avid gardener and fox hunter.
Junior is survived by 11 children: Ronald Junior Cordle of Houston, Texas,Harold Gene (Wanda) Cordle, Darrell Dean (Betty) Cordle, David Eugene (Cathy) Cordle, Jesse James (Sharon) Cordle, all of West Jefferson, Ralph (Joyce) Cordle, Johnnie Walker (Sheila) Cordle, RuthAnn (Von) Henry, all of Blaine, Ky., Jackie Lee (Karen) Cordle of Plain City, Mollie Lora (Cecil) Ramey of Louisa, Ky., Beverly Kay (David) O'Hara of London; 43 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; two brothers, Walker (Ruth) Cordle of West Jefferson, Charles (Doris) Cordle of Blaine, Ky.; a sister, Bernice (Roy) Jenkins of London.
Family and friends may call from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, March 27 in the RADER-McDONALD FUNERAL HOME, 1355 W. Main St., West Jefferson and from 2-9 p.m. on Friday, March 28 in the Young Funeral home, Louisa, Ky.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 29, 2003 in the Low Gap Enterprise Baptist Church, Blaine, Ky. Burial will follow in Cordle Cemetery, Blaine, Ky.
Junior was the Grandson of John R. Cordle and Samantha Perkins Baker Cordle and Charles Leander Ross and Minerva Slone Ross.
