She began her career at Stone and Webster of Boston and later returned home to continue her profession at General Dynamics of Pittsfield and Crane & Company of Dalton. As a "Navy brat," Alice had the opportunity to meet many people through which she created lifelong friendships. She was a great friend and took pride in caring for these friendships.
She was a deeply spiritual woman and a parishioner of St. Mark Roman Catholic Church, where she taught CCD for many years. As a proud Irish woman, she had a keen interest in the family's genealogical roots, including her Native American heritage. Her family was often amazed by the information she collected. She enjoyed camping in Vermont, biking on Long Island, and boating on the Hudson. Along with Billy and Mary, she leaves her beloved sister, Denise Allain, her husband David, and their children Matt and Ali of Worcester, MA. She also leaves her brother James A. Wilson III, his wife Beth, and their children Jim and Jen of Manitowoc, WI. In addition, she is survived by her cherished Aunt Claire of Natick, MA and many cousins.
FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for Alice W. Bonnet of Dalton will be held Saturday at 8:15 AM from the DERY FUNERAL HOME in Pittsfield followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 9:00 AM at St. Mark Church in Pittsfield. A graveside service will follow at 1:30 PM at St. Mary's Cemetery in Franklin, MA Calling hours will be held from 4 to 7 PM on Friday, September 9, 2011 at the Dery Funeral Home in Pittsfield, MA. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made in Alice's memory to the Marian Fathers of Stockbridge, MA in care of the funeral home, 54 Bradford St. Pittsfield, MA 01201.
