John Herschel Blalock, 49, of Clanton, died Sunday, Dec. 28, 2008 at Shelby Baptist Medical Center, Alabaster. He was born on Saturday, April 18, 1959 in Autauga County, son of James Herschel Blalock and Lois Wilson Blalock. He was a carpenter.
Surviving are his two daughters, Ashley Blalock of Clanton, Shelley Blalock of Clanton; 2 sons, Blake Blalock of Clanton and Cody Blalock of Clanton; father, Rev. Herschel Blalock of Clanton; mother, Mrs. Lois Blalock of Clanton; two sisters, Pam Srinivas of Charleston, S.C., Angie Radmer of Longview, Texas; close friend, Tonya Connell of Clanton.
He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Kadence Lee. Services will be today, Dec. 30, 2008 at 1 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Doug Powell officiating. Interment will follow in Maple Springs Cemetery, Clanton. Martin Funeral Home directing.
