Andrew William Luksa, 81, of Martinsburg passed away Thursday, Feb. 20, 2014, at his residence while under the care of his family and Hospice.
Born Dec. 26, 1932, in Philadelphia, Pa., he was the son of the late Andrew Francis and Johanna Lewandowski Luksa.
He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church where he was a member of the Knights of Columbus.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
He is survived by his wife, Marie Catherine McCarthy Luksa; three sons, Andrew W. Luksa Jr. and wife, Peggy, Michael A. Luksa and wife, Deborah and David A. Luksa and fiancee, Kathy; three daughters, Maria T. Thackston and husband, Ray, Marliene A. Martin and husband, David, and Kristin Harden and husband, Eric; 10 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 22, 2014, at St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. Eric Hall celebrant.
