Mrs. Hollowell was born November 26, 1913 in Yeager, Oklahoma the daughter of Virgil M. and Dora Harris May. She attended school in Crowder Springs, Oklahoma. She moved to Irving in 1942 and had lived in Grand Prairie, Stamford, Odessa and Kingsland before moving to Temple in 1971. She married Clarence Hollowell in Boswell, Oklahoma July 17, 1934 he preceded her in death July 19, 1991. She was a member of Western Hills Church of Christ. Mrs. Hollowell was an active homemaker who loved to sew and can foods.
Mrs. Hollowell is survived by a daughter Shirley Daniels of Temple 2 Sons Bill Hollowell of Pasadena and W.L. (Dub) Hollowell of Odessa. She is also survived by a Sister Violet Ross of Idabell, OK 2 Brothers Lindzay Q. May of Tecumseh, OK and Virgil May Jr. of Shawnee, OK as well as 9 Grandchildren 14 Great Grandchildren and 4 Great Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter Jimmie Jones in 2004 and a brother Calvin May.
