Madge Lane, 72, of Blossom died Friday, Jan. 29, 2010, at her home.
Services are set for 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 1, at Bright-Holland Funeral Home with Bro. Evan Butler officiating. Burial follows in East Post Oak Cemetery.
The family receives friends from 3 to 4 p.m. Sunday, at the funeral home.
The daughter of Elmer and Katherine Legate Smith, she was born June 29, 1937, in Lamar County. On July 13, 1955, she married Billy Austin Lane in Paris. He preceded her in death July 4, 1998. She was a member of Blossom Church of Christ. For more than fifteen years, she worked with her husband at the family dairy north of Blossom.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Billy Smith.
Survivors include a son, Bobby Lane and wife, Pam, of Blossom; a daughter, Phyllis Bounds of Blossom; four grandchildren, Angela Stiles of Blossom, Justin Bounds and wife, Jennifer of Blossom, Darren Lane and wife, Leah, of Paris and Alisa Lane of Blossom; five great-grandchildren, Ollivia Stiles, Issiah Stiles, Emrie Gonzalez, Aiden Lane and Landry Bounds; a brother, Kenny Smith; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
