John L. Tucker, 86, of Butman Township, died Saturday, Jan. 1, in the Clare Nursing Home after a long illness. Born in Paulding County, Ohio, on April 4, 1890, he came to Gladwin County in 1901. Mr. Tucker was a retired farmer and a veteran of World War I. Surviving are two daughters; one brother, George of Gladwin; and one sister, Mrs. Minnie Schofield of Midland. A son preceded him in death.
Rites were held today, Wednesday, at 2 p.m. from the Hall Funeral Home, Gladwin Chapel. The Rev. Carl Briggs officiated and burial was in the Butman Cemetery. Gladwin County Record dated 01-05/1977 Column - 5 Page - 2
