James Matlock Ogden, Jr. was the son of James Matlock Ogden and Bess Alice Dean. Young James was hit by a trolley while crossing the street and died of his injuries. The Indianapolis Easter Sunrise Service was dedicated in his memory. James had two sisters: Mary Ann Ogden (Mrs. Henry L. Parrish), and Elizabeth Dean Ogden, who predeceased him. James died three years before his fater was named Attorney General for the State of Indiana (1924-1933.)
