THE CUSTOMHOUSE.
B.P. Blanchard, formerly State registrar of voters and lately a Customhouse clerk, died last evening of congestion of the brain, and will be buried at Chalmette to-day by the Joseph A. Mower Post of the Grand Army of the Republic.

SUDDEN DEATH
The death of B.P. Blanchard, clerk in the Collector's office, who died yesterday evening, is regarded as a strange phase in the fever; he was taken sick Thursday morning, and died after an illness of less than twelve hours.
