Mr. James W. Britten was born March 13, 1926, in the city of Bagwell, Texas, to Cleveland and Louise Britten. He departed this life on May 4, 1972 at the age of 45 years.

Mr. Britten had lived in Fresno for the past 16 years, and during this period he gained many devoted and kind friends. He was a past member of V.F.W. Post 511.

He will be deeply missed in the community he loved so dearly, but God doeth all things for the best and it is for us to trust in Him; therefore, we commend his spirit back to the God that fave it and may he rest in everlasting peace.

He leaves to mourn his passing: his wife, four sons, three daughters, two brothers, and a host of other relatives and friends.
