Ted E Burk died Oct 12,1990 at the Rush County Memorial Hospital at LaCrosse, KS. He was born Jul 16, 1943 at Nekoma, KS, the son of Cecil and Velma (Nash) Burk.

A resident of Rush Co most of his life, he was a truck driver and a member of the US Army Reserves. He was also a member of the Veteran's of Foreign Wars of Liberal, and the United Methodist Church of LaCorsse.

He was united in marriage to Judy Brown on May 16,1965 at Rush Center. To this union, four children were born.

He is survived by his wife, Joan Parker of Rush Center; three sons, Shannon, Shadd and Shelby Burk, all of LaCrosse; one daughter, Denee Herrman of Liebenthal; one sister, Sherla Mendanhall of Rush Center; and two grandchildren, as well as other relatives and a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by one son, Monty, in 1967.

Funeral services were conducted Oct 15, 1990 at the Janousek Funeral Home in LaCrosse with the Rev James Bush officiating. Organist was Frances Bankston. Soloist was Daryl Burchett. Musical selections were "Beyond The Sunset" and "Near To The Heart of God."

Honorary pallbearers were John Herrman, Junior Herrman, Perry Herrman, and Gene Lamberson.

Active pallbearers were Duane Burk, Henry Haberman, Duane Liggett, Jerry Mendenhall, Steve Vardell, and Glenn Woods, Jr.
