William "Bill" Bowman died at his home in Ararat on Wednesday,Nov. 1st, 2006 after suffering for some time with ill health.
He is survided by two sons, a daughter, eight grandchildren; four great grandchildren and three sisters.
He was preceded in death by an ex-wife, and an infant son.
He was a member of First Baptist Church in Winston-Salem.
Mr. Bowman worked as a rate clerk for several freight carriers while he lived in Richmond, VA at one time.
His funeral was held at the Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy, NC on Nov. 4, 2006 followed by burial in the Montgomery-Hall Cemetery in Ararat, Patrick Co., VA
