Maurice was born November 15, 1967 in Baltimore, Baltimore County, MD, to the late Maurice Berry Barnes and Betty M. Baines.
He attended school in the Baltimore School System. Shortly afterward, he and his mother relocated to Fayetteville, NC.
Maurice was a person that loved his family and friends. He was also a snappy dresser, from jeans to dress clothing.
He gave his life to the Lord at True Vine Ministries In Fayetteville NC on February 18, 2001. He was forever changed and knew God as a just, merciful, healing, and awesome God.
On September 10, 2002, he passed around 4 a.m. at the home he shared with his mother and son in Fayetteville, NC.
His mother,Betty Baines, passed May 3, 2007.
He will be greatly missed.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in True Vine Ministries World Outreach Fellowship by Pastor Ernest Jones. Arrangements are being handled by Wiseman Mortuary.
Mr. Barnes is survived by a son, Charles McLean of the home; his mother, Betty M. Baines of the home; and a sister, Aretta Forrest of Fayetteville.
