after living in White county Tennessee a few years Mary Bedwell moved with her parents to what is now Lafayette County Missouri and married John Bidwell in 1827, I don't know much about this John Bidwell other than he fathered Ira, or what happened to him but Mary Bedwell,Bidwell then married a unknown Andrews in 1834 also in Missouri and had two daughters; Marintha Ann born 1835, and Barbara Jane Andrews born 1836. Mary Bedwell,Bidwell,Andrews in 1844 is then married to James M. Brooks in Missouri, this is Marys 3rd marriage and James 2nd. Mary and James had son Thomas J. Brooks in 1845 in Missouri. Sometime between 1845 and 1853(probably 1848-49)the family moved to Sonoma County, California and had another son Henry Clay Brooks in 1853.

Marys son Ira Bidwell by her first marriage, married James Brooks daughter Elizabeth from his first marriage.
