A retired teacher with East Feliciana Parish school system with more than 30 years of service and a former teacher with Silliman Institute, she died at 4 a.m. Monday, Dec. 1, 1997. She was 92 and a native of Wakefield.

Visiting was at Charlet Funeral Home Inc., Clinton, 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday. Visiting at St. Andrews Episcopal Church, 9:30 a.m. until religious services at 11 a.m. Wednesday, conducted by the Rev. Stephen Craft. Burial in Masonic Cemetery.

Survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Sidney "Sid" and Miriam Thomas White, Clinton; a brother, Conner Percy, Clinton; seven grandchildren, Karen Eugenia White Allen, McComb, Miss., Theresa Lynn White Broadnax and James William White, both of Conyers, Ga., Brandy Diane White Baus, Baton Rouge, Mary Elizabeth White Brown, Abita Springs, Marilyn Morris Legghio, Michigan, and James "Jimmy" Roscoe Morris, Florida; seven great-grandchildren, James Randall Allen Jr. and Evelyn Corinne Allen, both of McComb, Remy Eugenie Baus and Rene MartellBaus, both of Clinton, Ashley Broadnax, Sydney White and Lindsey White, all of Conyers; and a great-great-grandchild, Kendall Allen, Jackson, Miss.

Preceded in death by husband, James H. White; parents, Robert Ryland and Frances Eugenia McGehee Percy; a son, James H. "Jimmy" White Jr.; a granddaughter, Wallis White; and two brothers, Edward and Robert Percy.

Pallbearers will be Billy, Mel and Ryland Percy, Steve Brown, Danny Murphy and Jay Allen. Honorary pallbearers are Conner Percy, Willie White, BuckPowell, Jimmy Percy, Adrian Percy, Hereford Percy, Gene Percy, Edward Percy, Toler Hatcher, John Murphy, Chris Legghio and Dewey Delee.

She was a member of St. Andrews Episcopal Church and Altar Guild, Sterling Chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution and former member of Louisiana Teachers Association.

Memorial donations may be made to St. Andrews Episcopal Church Memorial Fund.
