Bob was born in 1924, in Marseille, France and moved to California, where he resided for over 86 years. He attended Roosevelt High School, and served in World War II, in Europe earning several medals including "The Purple Heart", where his troops liberated Mannheim Prison Camp.
He was the owner of "Johnnie's Pastrami Restaurant" in Culver City, where he spent most of his day's right up to the end of his life. His passion was writing, photography, and the arts. He kept his sense of humor through all of his health adversities, and never complained.
He is survived by his devoted wife. He was a loving father and cherished grandfather and brother. He was loved by all that knew him. He will be greatly missed, and forever remembered.
Funeral Services will be held Monday at 11:00 am at Hillside Memorial Park 6001 W. Centinela Ave., Los Angeles, (310) 641-0707. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the charity of your choice .
