Robert James Crotteau, 42, of Haugen died Nov. 21 while hunting in Sawyer County.
Mr. Crotteau was born to Gerald and Carol (Fredrickson) Crotteau on Oct. 18, 1962 in Rice Lake. He attended Rice Lake Public Schools, graduated from Rice Lake High School in 1981 and married Jean Juza in Haugen on Feb. 6, 1982. He completed a 4-year apprenticeship program while working for the Rice Lake Utilities and then founded R&J Concrete, which has operated until the present time. He enjoyed all outdoor sports.
He is survived by his wife, Jean; a son, Carter of Haugen; a daughter, Vanessa of Haugen; his mother, Carol Crotteau of Rice Lake; his father, Gerald of Florida; three brothers, Craig of Phoenix, Ariz., and Bruce and Steve, both of Rice Lake; a sister, Stacey Crotteau of Rice Lake; his maternal grandmother, Agnes Fredrickson; and his paternal grandmother, Elenor Crotteau, both of Rice Lake.
