William T. & Martha McCormick Brooks
They lived in the Joplin, MO area.
Her father was a miner.
I believe she had at least one sister named Mary M. (born approx. 1870 in Kansas) and a brother Albert H. Brooks (born approx. 1868 in Missouri). We don't know what became of Albert. Julia was still a young girl when her parents died and she was taken in by a man named Tom Cunningham in the Joplin, MO area. He was once mayor of the city of Joplin.
(Her sister Mary married a man named Steven Arnold Douglas Paragien and had 2 daughters, Lillian and Grace.)
Wife of:
Frederic Henry Mayfield
Mother of:
Daisy 'Dorothy' Dean Mayfield Lawson
Mabel Natalie Mayfield Goenner
Thelma Mayfield Moore
Vera Mayfield Drum
Helen Mayfield Hilbert
Louise Mayfield Zimmerman
(She was my great-grandmother but died before I was born. I am told she remarried after Fred died but I only know his last name, Haze (the family referred to him as 'Pappy'). I was told they married and lived in California but that she was buried in Ft. Smith, AR (her grandson Rev. Jack E. Lawson conducted her funeral). I am told that she was known as 'Mamie'.)
Buried with the Virgil Moore family at Forest Park Cemetery in Ft. Smith, AR. Thelma Moore was her daughter.
