Elma was our neighbor and my unofficial grandmother, and I loved her just as if she really were my grandma. She was a devoted Christian, and she spent lots of time studying the Bible. She also wrote lots of poetry, books full. She also loved dogs and had many of them in her lifetime. She lived with her husband Wayne, but after he died in 1991 she was never quite the same. I was her "Kid", and she was, and still is, very special to me. I didn't get to say goodbye, but I trust that she knew how much I loved her. Now she is with Jesus and Wayne and all of her little dogs and her sister too, just where she always wanted to be.
