Her first major film was "The Fire" in 1916 and after making a series of films, she retired in 1924. Born into a theatrical family, she began acting as a child, advancing from theater to film by 1913. She traveled to Argentina in 1909, where she married, had three children with her oldest son dying young, and then separated from her husband while pregnant with her daughter. She returned to Italy in 1913. In 1924 after the death of her first husband, she married Baron Carlo D'Amato, founder of Rinascimento Film. He destroyed all of her documents and photographs from her acting years.
