Mrs. Barnes lived her entire life in Greene County. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Waynesburg and also attended the Fairall United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Barnes was a member of the Farm Women's Association.
For several years, she worked as a clerk at the former Model Shop, a women's clothing store in Waynesburg.
Mrs. Barnes also was a homemaker.
Her husband, Thomas H. Barnes, died April 13, 1984.
She was the last of her immediate family.
Deceased are a son, T. William Barnes; a grandchild; four brothers, Edward Shultz, Paul C. Shultz, Earl Shultz and Allen Shultz; and three sisters, Josephine S. Huffman, Stella S. Kinney and June S. Coss.
