She was born Dec. 4, 1919, in Garden City, to Joseph and Elizabeth Sartorius. She grew up and attended school in Garden City.
She married Harold Drake and had a son, David, while in Scott City. After Harold's death, she married John Martin Craig of Topeka.
Mrs. Craig was known as a gifted homemaker and a caring, energetic woman always willing to help others.
In addition to her first husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and four brothers.
Survivors include her husband, Martin, of Topeka; a son, David of Mound House, Nev.; two stepsons, Robert of Denver and Richard of Anaheim, Calif.; and three grandchildren.
Graveside Mass was at 1 p.m. Friday, June 12, 2009, at Valley View Cemetery in Garden City.
