William Everett Beaudry was born in Massachusetts, but spent his teen years in DeKalb County, MO, where he married Lena Elizabeth Jeppe. By 1900, the couple had moved to Chicago, where William was noted landscape architect. By 1930, they moved to Los Angeles, CA, where William was elected to the Board of Education in 1932. In 1934, there was an attempt to recall him and three other board members, but the recall failed after the D.A.'s office investigated and deemed it to be a political move and not based on any wrongdoing.
