Motion Picture Director. The London-born Rapper is best remembered for his three classic dramas starring Bette Davis, "Now, Voyager" (1942), "The Corn is Green" (1945), and "Deception" (1946). He also directed "The Adventures of Mark Twain" (1944), "Rhapsody in Blue" (1945), "The Brave One" (1957), and "Marjorie Morningstar" (1958). His career lasted until the early 1970s. Rapper died at the Motion Picture Country Home one month shy of his 102nd birthday.
