E. T. Brooks, 74, retired farmer, died Monday, August 22, at his home in the Rose Hill Community.
Funeral services were conducted on Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock at Rose Hill Baptist Church, with the Rev. Mack Pinkelton officiating. Burial was in New Gardens Cemetery in Athens, Ala.
A native of Giles County, he was born October 14, 1891, the son of the late Sam and Molly Bryant Brooks.
Mr. Brooks is survived by his wife, Mrs. Minnie Clem Brooks; three sons, Bobby and Gilbert Brooks of Wales, and Robert Brooks, Michigan; four daughters, Mrs. Ruby Kline, Mrs. Susie Wakefield, Pulaski, Mrs. Mable Black, and Mrs. Effie Boyd, Michigan; fifteen grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. Pearline Vinning and Mrs. Della Guthrie of Athens, Ala.
