Nancy K. Moyers Baker was the daughter of Wyley and Sarah Jane "Sallie" Jones Moyers. She was born in Tennessee in 1850, a twin to Rufus Sherrill Moyers and had at 11 siblings known of. They were: 1)Anne Eliza Collins Moyers (Collins was not a maiden name but part of her given name in honor of Wyley's mother Mary Polly Collins Moyers Gass. Anna married John Keith, son of Nicholas Keith 2) George Jacob "Jake" Moyers, who in adult life moved to GA, owned and operated Moyers Tannery and was instrumental in prohibiting the sale of liquor inside the city limits of his hometown, a law that has stuck to present day. 3)Mattathias Andrew "Tice" Moyers, marrying Catherine Keith, the sister John Keith who married Anna Moyers, and settled in Texas 4)Mary J. Moyers,lost after 1880 census of Limestone County where she is found as hoh widowed and mother of two sons John and William also living w/ her is her mother Sallie Moyers and brother A.B. although it gives her as a widow she and her sons carry the surname of Myres, don't know if this is the correct spelling of her married name or a mis-spelling of her maiden name as her mother and brother carry the same spelling in this census. 5)Sarah Pauline Moyers, who married Jessie Rector CSA and both are buried in Wallace Cemetery 6)Cassandra S Moyers, nothing found on her after the 1870 census of Rhea County, Tn where she is living w/ her parents, Wyley and Sarah Moyers. 7)Rufus Sherrill Moyers who married Mary Frances Weir, daughter of Leonard L and Susan Young Weir, R.S. ran a tannery in Athens and later sold and settled in the Tanner community where he farmed. After the death of his 1st wife Fannie he re married to Lillian Reese. He died in 1909 and is buried in Tanner Cemetery next to his first wife Fannie 8)Robert R. Moyers who worked on the river and settled in Lawrence County, Alabama 9)Elizabeth E Moyers who married William H. Preston and is also buried here in Wallace Cemetery. 10) John Thomas Moyers who is believed to have settled in Madison Co. Alabama and 11)Albion Bruce Moyers who married Margaret Gault and both are buried in Tanner Cemetery.

Nannie K. was the second wife of Henry H. Baker and they had one son John W. Baker (thanks S.Baker for this info). Henry was married first to Martha Moon Baker who is buried in Ripley Cemetery in Limestone County, Alabama. Last known residence of H.H. Baker was in the Ripley community. He is buried next to his first wife Martha. Henry had two brothers who also married Moon girls, sisters of Martha.
