Thomas Hallahan, his wife, Mary, and four children were part of the original Peter Robinson settlers. The family was assigned land in Otonabee. During that first year after arriving to their new home in the wilderness, the Hallahan's lost their eldest son, James, when he was caught in the rapids of the Otonabee river and drowned.

Child with no known burial site.
Denis Hallahan 1812 - c1850

Note: Thomas died before this cemetery was opened. He was probably buried in the the first Catholic burial ground, near City Hall, then was removed and reinterred here when his wife, Mary died.
