GREENVILLE - Roosevelt Damal "Bubba" Carter, 23, of Woodstream Apts., Greenville, SC, died July 15, 2011.
He was born in Greenwood, SC, the son of Andrea "Lisa" Carter and Roosevelt "Puoot" Givens.
He attended John's Creek Baptist Church and was a graduate of Cornerstone Christian Correspondence School in 2009.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Kaleigha A. Carter-Covin and his paternal grandmother, Odessa Miller.
Surviving, besides his parents of Greenwood, are four sisters, Andrea Wideman of Greenwood, SC, Kimberly Griffin of Newberry, SC, Shiquesta Givens of Melbourne, FL, and Crystal Stewart of Peterson, NJ; a brother, Rashad Martin of Greenwood, SC; maternal grandparents, Ms. Mamie B. Fuller and Mr. and Mrs. Willie (Annell) Carter, all of Greenwood; paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. William (Eleanor) Holmes of Greenwood, SC; maternal great-grandmother, Mrs. Eunice Brown of Greenwood, SC; and paternal great-grandfather, Mr. TB Holmes of Edgefield, SC.
Funeral services will be on Friday, July 22, 2011 at 2 p.m. at Morris Chapel Baptist Church, with Rev. Lajunanta Hair officiating; Rev. Curtis Carter presiding; assisted by Reverends James Kay, Andy Young and Eddie Freeman. Burial will follow at John's Creek Baptist Church.
Honorary escort will be Ma/Auntie Boys and Queens by Nature.
Pallbearers will be Issac Johnson, Eric Johnson, Robert Black, Marcus Carroll, Alexis Best and Brent Williams.
Flower bearers will be Ma/Auntie Girls.
The body will be placed in the church at 1 p.m.
The family is at the home of his mother, 205 Siloam Church Road.
Parks Funeral Home is assisting the family with this service.
