Miss Lily Lawrence Blackman, 7, resident of 2286 Cambridge Oaks Dr. died August 21, 2011 at Brenner Children's Hospital in Winston-Salem NC.

Lily was born July 27, 2004 in Guilford County, a daughter to David and Ashton Guffey Blackman. She was a resident of this area all her life and was a proud Westchester Wildcat.

Surviving are her parents of High Point; a sister, Anna Patricia Blackman of High Point; maternal grandmother, Patricia (Nina) Milo Guffey of Greensboro, paternal grandparents, Fred and Isabell Blackman of High Point; five uncles, Mark Blackman and wife Debbie of Southern Pines, Chris Blackman and wife Yvette of Greensboro, Doug Blackman and wife Susan of Summerfield, Bryan Guffey of Greensboro and David Guffey of Jamestown; four cousins, Ava and Rhett Blackman both of Summerfield and Lindsay Blackman of Greensboro and Zachary Atkinson of Wilmington; two great uncles, James Yates and wife Sandra of Apex and Michael Blackman of Clayton; two great aunts, Doris Goodwin of Apex and Nancy Hardesty and husband Ron of Las Vegas NV; and a special neighbor and friend, Mutt McGee of High Point.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church with Rev. Vincent Smith O.S.F.S. officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the National Children's Cancer Society, 1 South Memorial Dr. Suite 800, St. Louis, MO 63102 or to Arts for Life, P.O. Box 5132 Winston-Salem, NC 27113.

The family would like to extend special thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff of Brenner Children's Hospital, Levine Children's Hospital and The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia as well as our beloved friends on Juniper St. in Philadelphia. Cumby Family Funeral Service in High Point is assisting the family.
